Buy a charge hose and pag46 oil charge/and freon about 3 cans 134a/u may not need all the cans but just in case its empty .//look for large ac line/hose and follow it to the small service port this is where u charge, the small line/hose with the large port is no t ur concern u can only hook up to low side ,,,,with ac on and engine running high blower max air, recerculation button on charge system untill ac stops cycleing on and off then charge about a 1/2can/dryer(large can looking thing should get very cold/more freon does not mean more cold so dont over do it

If u do not know how to charge the air DON"T. you add too much you can cause more problems than just not having air. you can blow the a/c condensor if u charge too much and that can be costly . buy the freon at walmart or somewhere and have a gargage or dealer charge it might cost a little bit but you will not have to worry about over charging and causeing more harm than good.

SOURCE: remove fuel pump from tank ford windstar 98

To gain access to the fuel pump, it is necessary to remove the fuel tank.

  1. Depressurize the fuel system and remove the fuel tank from the vehicle.
  2. Remove any dirt that has accumulated around the fuel pump module attaching flange, to prevent it from entering the tank during service.
  3. Turn the fuel pump module locking ring counterclockwise using a locking ring removal tool or a brass drift and remove the locking ring.
  4. Remove the fuel pump module.
  5. Remove the seal gasket and discard it.

To install:
  1. Put a light coating of grease on a new seal ring to hold it in place during assembly. Install it in fuel tank ring groove.
  2. Insert the fuel pump module into the fuel tank, then secure it in place with the locking ring. Tighten the ring until secure.
  3. Install the tank in the vehicle.
  4. Install a minimum of 10 gallons of fuel and check for leaks.
  5. Install a pressure gauge on the throttle body valve and turn the ignition ON for 3 seconds. Turn the key OFF , then repeat the key cycle five to ten times until the pressure gauge shows at least 30 psi.
  6. Check for fuel leaks at the fittings.
  7. Remove the pressure gauge.
  8. Start the engine and check for fuel leaks.

SOURCE: Replace alternator 2001 ford windstar van

Hi, first you disconnect the battery. then you need to take the belt off by the back pulley. But you don't need to take it all the way off. Just so you get the alternator belt off. I just replaced the one on my 1997. Then you have three bolts, and one small nut to remove . Then put all back together the way you took them off.
Take care

98 ford windstar has clicking noise under dash and won't start

The clicking noise is most likly the starter solinoid cycling in and out. This is due to low battery voltage. charge the battery, then have the battery and charging system tested. Some auto supply stores will do this for free for you in the hopes of selling parts

good luck
