Removing panel in passenger footwell

Normally just a plastic clip to remove the cover to the fuse box. No need to remove the whole panel. Fuses have to be easily accessible.

Check at the foot of driver side. On newer models check passenger side. You should find a rectangular panel in the right corner. Remove it to find the fuse box.

There should also be an additional fuse panel located on the drivers side under the hood, in the engine compartment.

Lift up gearstick gaitor leaving plastic surrounding in place.

Lift plastic surround and remove lock and Hazzard switch.
Push gaitor through surround and remove surround.
Remove ***** from front of centre consoleand 2 screws from rear.
Follow the side of the centre console down into footwell and remove Popper from each side.
Pull console forward slightly and disconnect cigar lighter.
Remove centre console.
Remove 2 screws below the radio.
Pull radio/air-conditioning surround forward, leave the radio in the surround as it will come out with the surround.
Remove 2 screws holding the glovebox to the centre console.
Open glovebox.
Remove 3 screws along the top front.
Open the fuse box at back of glove box and push the fuse holder up off the flap.
Open passenger door.
Remove dash side panel and remove 2 screws.
Remove kick panel trim in passenger footwell and remove ***** from bottom of glove box. (The glovebox will need to be open to see this *****)
Pull glovebox out slightly. It can be hard to pull out, just be sure you have all screws out.
Disconnect glovebox light and light switch.
Remove glovebox fully.

There are 4 fuse boxes in a 2000 + Estima
one in the passenger footwell behind the glove box...
One in the drivers footwell behind the lower trim
2 under the bonnet..... one above the engine

could be a fuse, but i doubt it. if half the panel lights are out on the radio itself, there is either a blown bulb inside the radio, or some other problem. if it is the panel surrounding the radio, it may just be a blown bulb or two. as far as the fuse box location, there are four solid options. under the dash by your left foot, on the opposite side in the passenger footwell, on the side of the dashboard, or under the hood. hope this helps

On a 1997-2002 A8 the fuse box is in the passenger side footwell. There is a small knob that must be unscrewed and the carpeted panel must be removed to reveal the fuse box.

I have a 2000 but the 99 is probably the same. Mine is on the passengers side front seat area under the glove box. Youll need to remove the access panel of course. There are also fuses located under the hood on the passengers side.

FUSE BOX LOCATIONS DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDES

The driver's side fuse block is to the left of the steering

wheel, under the instrument panel.

Snap off the cover to reveal the fuses. You'll find a fuse

puller clipped to the inside of the cover. Place the wide

end of the fuse puller over the plastic end of the fuse.
Squeeze the ends over the fuse and pull it out.

Passenger's Side Fuse Block

Additional fuses are located in the relay center, on the

passenger's side, below the instrument panel. You must

remove the sound insulator on the right side of the

passenger footwell to replace these fuses.

Since the replacement of these fuses can be difficult,

we recommend that you see your dealer for
fuse replacement.
