SOURCE: the ac and the blower work but the heater won't work in my 95 chevy suburban

Hi Tim, I believe the problem will be either the electronic control module or a fouled operating mixing valve. Try operating the mixing valve directly from inside the engine compartment first and check if that makes a difference. If that fails, get a diagnostic scan carried out on the climate control. Regards John

Why is the blower for heat and air not working

Yes there are resisters that are mounted near the blower under the dash that can burn out. They are usually hard to get to but are the most common reason the blower will not work when there is nothing else wrong. This can also cause only certain speeds to work and not others.
The only other cause could be the switch itself has overheated and melted internally but this is more common in Fords.

I have a 1997 oldsmobile eighty-eight and the fan one day over the summer 2010 went off and on with the blower switched on. It caught my attention but kept my fingers crossed. Within a few days the fan...

It does sound like a bad switch --- possibly arcing and overheating -- or it could be dirty / corroded contacts on the switch or in the wiring harness connector.

The switch should come out fairly easily after getting access to the back of it -- it probably has tabs on it which when pressed in will allow the switch to come out the front.

Charlie

P.S. The blower motor resistor would not cause an overheating switch -- a bad resistor would at worst allow maximum current to go through the switch -- the switch is designed to run the blower at full speed (maximum current) w/o overheating...

Heater blower not blowing at any speed

check switch at contacts for continuity. Check heater blower fuse and relay If fuse is blown and new fuse blows right away there is a short to ground or power. (either in cab or under hood in power distribution box). Check wiring running to blower for possible short. Check blower.

2004 sierra, fan blower stopped, not the fuses. where is the fan blower switch and how do I replace

get a voltmeter; check for 12vdc at the blower motor with the blower turned on; if there is voltage, the blower motor is bad; should be located behind a panel underneath the dash on the passenger side; if the fan works on 1 or 2 speeds, it is probably the blower resistor located in the same area as the blower; u can check utube for details

Rear a/c doesn't work i bought a blower motor and connect it to the car but still did not work

Check voltage to all three parts: the blower motor, the blower resistor which is directly connected between the motor and the the switch, or also it could be the switch (remember secure you ground the negative side of the voltmeter to either the battery or to the ground car).

Generally the auxiliary climate control system has dual controls for the driver and rear passengers consisting of temperature/air distribution and blower speed; the rear auxiliary climate control assembly is mounted in a separate overhead console positioned on the headliner above the second row seating area.

Also, with the Owners Manual, you can check the relays substuting it in each position in the fuse panel.

Air feels cool, but not blowing enought air

I worked at a Dodge dealership for a while and 9 out of 10 times this is due to the recirculation door being broken, allowing hot air from outside to enter the cab of the truck. The dashboard will need to be removed to access the area.

2002 Nissan Altima - Heat doesn't get hot and doors get stuck

Did the switch break because it was stuck? If so, then yes, they will have to change actuators and doors. Does the fan work on all speed setting? If so then you do not need a blower resistor. The resistor pack only controls the current flow to change speeds of the fan.
