Have you sprayed fuel/starting fluid into the engine to see if it starts? You can have fuel pressure but no injector fuel delivery, we call this "pulse"
Wow. where are you, and what is a chico? Anyway, by 1.4i, you mean it is a 1.4 liter injected? Does it have a cold start injector, like my toyota celica? (If it's not fuel injected, you may have a choke problem.) Kinda in the dark here. I had a chevy once that did the same thing, wouldn't start on first try. What I did was turn key and crank for a couple seconds, stop, then crank again-it always fired right up. Never figured that out, since it always worked. Try and see if it helps.
Disconnect the negative battery cable. Turn the switch to the off position. Straighten out a paper clip, and insert the end into the little hole in the front of the switch( might be helpful to put the ring back on for now) Push in on the clip and turn the key toward the accessory position, once the key begins to turn pull the clip out and continue to turn when the key gets all the way back the lock will pop out, then you can unscrew the ring and remove the switch. To reinstall the lock push it in and turn toward the start position.
First turn the key to the run position, (not start). Push the gas pedal down to the floor 3 times within five seconds. Turn the key off and then cycle back on and start the truck. The indicator should flash five times and go out.
It may take a few tries.
