I have a 95 camaro, I put the key in ignition and it will not turn the ignition. It's like it's stuck. Replaced the ignition module and still cannot turn ignition. Help!

the ignition module (ignition switch on top of the steering column) normally doesn't get stuck.

things you can try:
steering wheel lock: (the pin gets a "burr" on it and locks everything up) wiggle steering wheel back and forth while trying to turn key.

transmission lock (parking on an incline will jam up the interlock)
push the shifter farther into park while trying to turn the key, or wiggle shifter

97 cavalier cranks will not start theft light stays on

Is the security light flashing? If so, turn ignition on and wait for 10 minutes and light should stay on solid. Then try and start the car without turning the ignition back off. Then turn off ignition and wait 1 minute. Then turn ignition on and see if security light is flashing. If not try and start your car. If it is flashing, try waiting again with just the ignition on and see if it goes out.

Ignition locked on a 2000 Dodge intrepid

If you any other spare key, try with that key and see if it turns the ignition to unlock position.Try to turn the steering wheel to left and key to right side and try turning key to left an steering wheel to right side, try both ways and see if the key unlocks ignition. If that is not helping then try to wiggle the steering wheel and then insert key to unlock ignition. If that is also not helping then get wd-40 spray and spray the lubricant into key hole, and then let the spray remain there for few minutes then insert key in the key hole and see if it unlocks the ignition.------ If not then its problem with tumblers in the ignition switch, it has to be checked. For that ignition switch has to be removed and inspected. If ignition switch is inspected ok, then ignition key lock cylinder is faulty, it has to be replaced.Once the ignition switch is removed, the key lock cylinder can be accessed.----------- Getting this troubleshooting tried and this possibilities checked will help, thanks.Helpmech.

Lincoln town car is in park and the key goes in the ignition but you cant turn it to start the car. was working until yesterday. girlfriend parked it with the wheels turned

the wheels turn should make no difference.

Try turning the wheel both ways while trying to turn the key...it may be in the lock detent position. if that doesnt work, then you need to get the lock cylnder replaced.

2001 gmc yukon xl key in ignition won't turn to start at all.

The tumblers in the ignition lock may be seized, try cleaning it out first with a small spray of WD40 and try the spare ignition keys. The keys it self may be too worn down for the tumblers in the lock and if you have lots of other keys on your key chains, this will promote the lock to wear out quicker. Good luck and hope this helps and try turning the steering where back and forth as you try to turn the ignition key.

Ignition locked

if the wheel locked when trying to turn the ignition, that is not uncommon. Just simply turn and hold the steering wheel the opposite way, then you will be able to turn the ignition on.
