I want to repair my black steering wheel. It is rubber with a slick black coting. My original wheel was wore badly. I found a replacement at a salvage yard. It only has a few small skin deep nicks at the 11 oclock position which is exactly where I hold the wheel most of the time. I waqnt to coat that area with somthing but dont kow what. Thought I might try blk. fingernail pollish. What are your sugestions?

My ford f150 did the same thing, so I put the old starter solenoid back in( the one by the battery) and it cured the problem.
Come to find out, the after market relays aren't rated right, to get a good one, and the right one, you have to spend more and get it at a dealer.

This is the steering rack. If it's not leaking fluid out of the bellows more than likely the fluid needs to be changed.
This can be done by removing the 2 lines from the pump that attach to the rack draining the fluid, then reconnect the lines and refill with fresh power steering fluid.
When draining make sure to take the cap/dipstick off of the pump.
SOURCE: passenger side front wheel bearing
You can but I think you are getting in over your head. There is nothing telling you the condition of the CV joint you will be removing (Constant Volecity) (Knuckles?). This is a big job requiring special tools. If it is your bearing that requires replacement, the CV joint is not really involved in this. If you do remove and replace the CV joint, it will still have to be adjusted and the front of your vehicle will require realignment. I doubt you have the capability or skill needed for a wheel alignment in your garage.
My free advice is pay the $100.00 or so to get new bearings done professionally.
