I think you mean that the engine does not start first time you crank the starter. A common problem is a coil pack. If you car has a distributor, there's a coil pack inside it that is failing. Might also be the coolant temperature sensor that provides a signal to the engine computer.
Remove the LOWER seat in the rear, u will see ur fuel tank and the fuel float connector!
First disconnect the ( - ) pole of battery to, remove the screws holding the fuel float/pump, remove the rubber seals, and u can pull out the pump assembly!
YOU NEED TO MEASURE THE VOLTAGE WHILE IT IS CLICKING AT THE BATTERY & AT THE STARTER, IF THE VOLTAGE IS BELOW 9 OR THE STARTER IS DRAGGING THE CABLES ARE NEXT. BATTERY CABLES CAN BE TRICKY, THEY MAY LOOK FINE, BUT CAN BE BAD. WIGGLE & PULL ON THE CABLES, THEY COULD BE THE PROBLEM. WHILE CRANKING, CHECK FOR HOT SPOTS AT CABLE CONNECTIONS. HOT SPOTS MEAN BAD STARTER OR POOR CONTINUITY .
open the passenger side door there should be a plastic cover usually a flathead screwdriver will remove it once that is removed there should be 3 or 4 bolt to remove and a power cable remove all and replace. good luck
you would need to remove the two 10mm bolts from the coil packs and leads and then stick the smaller version of spark plug socket in remove them, bear in mind if u have a mivec motor the spark plugs MUST be Platinum :)
1 remove the cable. 2. use the right size socket and insert it to the plug. 3. loosen the plug and clean or replace. 4. tighten it back. 5. do it one at a time. it would be confusing to install the wires back if you pull them at the same time.
