Ok, those systems might still work because the not require as much energy as the starter. Check the Battery Voltage with a good Voltmeter. If below 12, there might be your problem!
check the ground leg to your engine.. it runs off the neg. battery terminal. will connect to frame and engine.. pull it off, wire brush it put it back.. you radio will work, 'cause it draws much less current, and is grounded in dash.
any real answer yet? did the problem ever get resolved? i have the same problem with my sister's car. too cold to diagnose tonight, but will post the solution probably tomorrow. since the lights and heater works, but ignition and radio arent getting power, my first guess is there's probably a fried fusible link which controls the 2nd accessory power to the ignition switch. will post a solution soon.
