99 honda civic lx, drivers side rear door is locked and will not open from the inside or outside. The manual locking rod will not pull up to unlock the door. All other doors work with remote and inside power locking switch? How hard is it to remove the rear inside door panel to check for broken parts when the door is closed?

I had the same problem with now power to windows, mirrors and seat. The common soulution is the orange and or black wire in the boot have broken between the door and post.

Pull the panel off starting at the top, you can just pry the window control apart, you don't need to unscrew that part. I sprayed white grease (lubriplate) all around the door latch inside there, and it unlatched easy.
After I put it back together, the knob still doesn't rise as high as the other side. I think the linkage is binding, and the connecting rod is bent. At least if the door won't unlock with the button you can do it by hand.

You will probably need to replace the power door lock actuator.

Sounds like the link rod to the latch are jammed in the locked position by something inside the door or it came off. Any way, you have to remove the door panel to get access to it.

Remove the panel and disable the child lock or some cars have an option to just bypass the child lock either or
