No power to the fuel pump.

I have had a problem with my 1992 e-150 van. i have no power to the fuel pump. i checked the fuel inertia switch to see if it was working and it was.BUT i did not have any power to the inertia switch. the only time i had power to it, was when i was cranking engine over. i don't know if there is suposed to be power there all the time or not. and that told me that there was another power sorce prior to the inertia switch. i need to know if there is a cirquit brkr that feeds the inertia switch and wher it is . thank you.

Fuel rail pressure code 43 / Po191

Check to make sure the fuel pump is working. If the fuel pump is not working check the fuel pump fuse and fuel pump relay, also check to make sure the inertia cut off switch hasn't been tripped. If the fuel pump is working then check the fuel pressure regulator.

Where is the relay switch for the fuel pump at to turn the van on 1995 ford windstar can you show where it's located

Just put the term "1995 Windstar inertia switch location" into your search and click. The inertia switch is a cut-off for the fuel pump power. The web search will pull up photos. There is a reset button on this part and this part should be checked first.

1998 niessen quest van I put a new fuel pump now I am not getting any fire from fuse to the pump I checked the relays I need to get this van running

There are two fuses that power the pump relay, and an inertia switch between the pump and the ground source.
Do you have power from each fuse to the relay ?

1999 ford econoline e 250 low voltage (7volts) at fuel pump, where is the relay located and how can it be identified?

The fuel pump relay should be near the driver side fender or the battery along with other relays. It should have a dark green and yellow wire that goes to the inertia switch, a red wire that goes to the EEC relay, and two other wires that may be light blue and orange.
The wire that powers the pump goes to the inertia switch then to the pump.

The van has a new fuel pump, which pep boys told us that would get the van to turn or. it still is not working. can the spark plugs have anything to do with it not turning on. we have checked the fuses and...

If the inertia switch for the fuel pump has no power, there could be a break in the wire somewhere leading to it, or a fusible link has blown, if so equipped.

Sometimes, the inertia switch itself goes bad, that wouldn't explain why you have no test light power back there.

If the fuel pump was already replaced with a known good one, then that eliminates that as the culprit.

Good luck on this possible wiring repair.

1989 Ford Ecoline 150 van new fuel pump new filter but still won't get gas and start

The in-tank fuel pump may not be working however I would check and make sure you have power to the pump before just replacing it.Iyou don't have power at the pump then check the inertia switch and if that's doesn't have power check to see if the fuel pump relay is powering up the pump and repair as needed

Location of inertia switch/fuel pump

Yes it can. It doesn't take much like slamming a door or dropping a load of parts. There is only a magnetic ball inside the contacts and it is a wonder that Railroad tracks and Potholes do not trigger more shutoffs. All you do is find the switch and hold down the button on it for about 3 seconds.

Then try starting the van without slamming the doors shut until it is running. If the Inertia switch does not help check the fuse panel, then the relay. The relay should either be in the Black powerbox group or in with the fuseholders.

1997 Ford F150 Electric Fuel Pump will npt pump

Did you check the fuel inertia switch in the passenger side kick panel ?

The fuel pump is powered :
the fuse to the fuel pump relay.
The fuel pump relay to the fuel inertia switch
The fuel inertia switch to the fuel pump itself.

At the fuel inertia switch in the kick panel, power from the relay is the Dark Green w/ Yellow stripe wire and the pink w/ black stripe wire is the power. from the fuel inertia switch to the fuel pump.

If you jumper the fuel pump relay, you should hear it run. If not pull the fuel pump relay, and check the pins in the relay socket, pin 30 should be the power from the fuse.

If you have power at pin #30, jumper the relay socket as shown with the red line above, and check the dark green w/ yellow stripe wire at the fuel inertia switch for power.
Press the button on the top of the fuel inertia switch, and check for power leaving the fuel inertia switch on the pink w/ black stripe wire.

This is tests good, check for power at the fuel pump, same pink w/ black stripe wire.
Fuel inertia switch info is in the owners manual, If you did not get an owners manual with your truck ( purchased used ), you can download one from Ford :
