I think you should go for repair manual first. After that you can easily repair your car by yourself.I had visited this site past 2 months before for my vehicle and find it quite helpful may be you will also get something useful here. They offer cheap prices and also discount too

SOURCE: BMW remote control problem
I have a e60 525i that I just brought and it has the same problem, the owners manual suggests driving with the key in the ignition for a long time as the batteries are rechargable and may have gone flat, i have tried this and it doesnt seem to work
i also read something about getting water in the aerial about the rear window and that wrecks the receiever. My car isn;t under warranty so not looking forwarding to taking it to bmw
SOURCE: Central Locking not working
Hi Craig,
I'm running a E34 Tds Touring with a similar problem, my rear doors and tailgate have dropped of the central locking circuit.
I have been told it is the Central locking Module a large black box under the dash that is faulty, apparently a common problem.
Hope this points you in the right direction,
Please remember to rate my effort!

I m a locksmith and had the same problem
What you do is:
HOld The handle up while you turn the key to the opening direction, it will feel as though it may bend the key but it will not.
keep pulling the handle until the button pops up it works I did it
SOURCE: 2006 BMW 750Li Trunk will not open

SOURCE: 1994 BMW 740il - Doors will not unlock, battery is dead
try this, put the key in the drivers side door then turn the key to open position as th same time lift up the door handle . if this does not work then jack up the car , and with jumper cables hooked them to the starter--red to solinod of starter and the ground to any good ground.then hook the other end to another vehicle.keep in mind all the safety precautions! Then try the door with the key in normal operation.Your battwery is dead.!
