I TURNED MY ATV OFF AND THEN WENT TO CRANK IT BACK UP AND IT WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING BUT SPIN OVER(STARTER ONLY)MOTOR NOT TURNING OVER. HONDA SHOP SAID PROBABLY NOT STARTER PROBLEM. I HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM IN CARS AND TRUCKS CIVILIAN AND MILITARY AND IT WAS ALWAYS THE STARTER. IF NOT THE STARETR THEN WHAT COULD IT BE?

need to check the timming belt. remove top plastic cover to the timming belt have someone turn the engine over see if cams are turning, check to see if cam gears still line up. hope is is the starter drive will be alot cheaper to fix

SOURCE: starter wont stop spinning
The starter relay may be sticking on start. Get someone to start truck and when problem starts hit relay lightly wih hammer. A cheap voltmeter will tell you if relay is sticking or still energised from ingnition switch after key release from start position.
