Your driver side door alarm switch may be stuck. use your key to lock and unlock the passenger door. this should turn the alarm and kill switch off. the red light on the dash should go off.

Why wont my alarm reset in my 1998 chevy blazer the security system is killing the fuel and i cant get it to run it starts and dies imeaditly

I don't think the anti-theft is the problem.
On GM vehicles, the anti-theft system will not allow the engine to crank, or get fuel or spark. If it cranks, you have a different problem.

Wont start

did this happen only after the alarm was installed? if so then unplug connectors from the alarm control box. if it starts now then you either have something hooked up wrong (take another close look at instructions) or you may have an faulty alarm controller or you may have effected the vehicles oem alarm if so equipped.

The alarm is faulty on my 1990 celica,it is broken and is stopping the car from sparking!any bodge etc?i have an account but fixya wont recognise my password again!!!

Sorry about your celica, I do realize these cars are **** but none the less they are fixable. Disconnect the battery and wait 30 sec. Reconnect then turn the ignition to the on position allow the alarm 2 hrs to reconfigure itself and then start the engine. Sequence is now complete.

Car alarm stopped working.. Car wont start

the jetta has a faulty alarm system from the factory i have been working on one in my shop. the alarm moddule is inside the dash behind the light switch and has a 10 pin connector and a 6 pin connector. this can be bypassed if you disconnect both connectors and jump the two large wire on the 6 pin connectors, these wires operate your starter. the car will start and run but your alarm will no longer be active. the door locks and everthing else will still work. the only issue i am having is the factory radio isn't working because it is controlled by the alarm. but worse case scenario i can use an aftermarket radio if need be.
