Standard type as used in all garages EP90 for the diff and manual gearbox and watch you dont get it on your hands as it smells like horrible and will not wash up and still smell a week later

The 6VE1 engines coolant temp sensor is in the cross over housing on right hand front section of head just under throttle body (ECU). From memory the 6VD1 (older) engine is in similar position. There are 2 sensors one for engine ECU & one for Temp gauge the single wire one is for temp gauge which is in same cross over housing but left side.

The 1998 Isuzu Trooper is identical to the 1996 & 1997 Troopers with the 3.2L V6 motor. Chilton-Haynes have a decnet and detailed manual for this car. It's available on Amazon.com. That's where I got mine!

the engine number will be stamped on the block if facing truck it would be on the bottom right hand side between the first and second freeze plug
