I have a 2005 Mazda Tribute S, 3.0L 6 cyl., and I am noticing a pulsing, slight vibration coming from the back end when I am at highway speeds. I recently had the tires rotated and balanced. Could it be the tires or something more serious like the rear differential?

SOURCE: Vibration after flat back tire of Mazda RX8

if the tire was run very long in its uninflated condition .. then it could have damaged cords or the belt ... or it could have heated to the point where the belt shifted .. that would unbalance the tire ... the tire should be removed, inspected for damage and rebalanced if ok .. its not a good idea to drive at 75 since the safety of the tire is questionable .. if the tire just sat for a long time underinflated but not being driven then it can take on a "set" or out of round condition .. that is temporary and will likely go away with continued driving .. driving with only 11 pounds wont take long to damage the tire ..

SOURCE: I Had the tires rotated

The noise is most likely caused by the different wear pattern on the tire that came from the rear of the car. The difference in the alignment between the front and rear suspension systems causes the tires to wear accordingly. It will take some time for the tires to wear in to their new environment. The noise should go away gradually. You should also check your tire pressure to make sure you don't have an improperly inflated tire.

SOURCE: ABS light on in my 2005 Mazda Tribute. Just had an

You do not steam clean any engines from
1985 on, or you will have problems with water
intruding electical connectors & more

Brake fluid won't be low
As the pads wear & caliper piston moves out,
fluid level goes down, not an issue

The ABS light you should already know is a Vehicle
System Malfunction & we have had those or similar
lights on the dash of all vehilces for 30 years
So nothing new at all. Check for codes, diagnose &
have the ABS Braking System repaired

Testimonial: "I added brake fluid and the light went back out. It had also just turned over to 100k so it could also just be an automatic thing. No more trouble!"

Try to rev the engine while at neutral if you get the same vibration to pinpoint if its from the engine or the drive shafts. If the issue occurs at a certain rev it may likely be the variable valve unit. Check if possible if you can get errors from the computer.

Thursday it rained all day. The engine on my Mazda Tribute 4 cyl 2005 started missing. Problem got worse as the day went on. By the end of the day coming home from work I got 25mph max. I thought it...

Even 2 days later it could still be the result of getting ignition components wet. I would suspect the ignition wires first. I'd make sure the plug tops were clean as well. Is there any sort of a distributor on the Tribute? If it has thrown a Cat code it is probably due to the misfiring. Cats do not go bad in one day unless you somehow filled up with leaded fuel! Hard to do unless you're in an airplane.

Why do my daytime running lights (head lamps) pulsate when motor is running. 2002 mazda tribute

Are the pulsing during driving or just at stops and idle? The pulse 99% of the time indicates a loose generator belt or bad alternator. YOu can have the alternator checked at a local parts store such as AUtozone, Advance, Napa, or Oreilly's free of charge. Depending on the age of your belt it may be time to change it as well. P.S. you notice your headlights because thats where your eyes are focused.. but turn your instrument light control knob all the way to brightest and willing to bet they are pulsing slightly too..

2001 Jeep Cherokee Vibration at highway speeds

That kind of vibration generally can be associated with a binding universal joint. Sometimes you can see a bit of rust around the seals, sometimes not. The "shake" test is generally valid only with vehicle off the ground and trans in neutral, but sometimes the bearings are fused with rust and do not move.If "eyeball" inspection reveals nothing , remove the driveshaft (s) and physically move joints. If overly loose or binding they are bad. If after complete inspection you still come up with nothing then it's time to look at other "oddball" things.
