I have a 1995 for bronco and i smashed the back end gate. I put a used one on from a 1997 ford bronco and now the window will not go up and down from either swith. Where can I get a free wiring diagram or do you have any suggestions. Thanks, Brian
Thats easy, spray the switch at the latch on the drivers side, and open and close it a few times, that switch keeps the window from going up with the gate down and they do get sticky
Grab a test light (12 VDC) and test for power at motor when switch pushed. Polarity will reverse to operate motor opposite way. For example, you'll have power at one wire while switch pushed one way, then power at other when switch pushed other way. If need be, hotwire direct to motor wires to see if motor at fault or wiring to it.
If you have a test light or multimeter or DC voltmeter, just test wiring at back of vehicle, in side panel, or wherever harness is running first, to see if voltage that far or not. I wouldn't go ripping the dash switch out yet. If you are still going for dash switch, get back & I'll instruct.
You have checked all fuses at dash & under hood for power right, regardless of what they say they're for? With key on if needs to be when window is normally operated. Not uncommon for circuit to be added in with another fuse & not labeled accordingly.

I can hot wire the window and it works, so it isn't the motor. I am having trouble getting the headlamp switch off of the dashboard to be able to check for power at the switch. The circut breakers are good also, so it is in the wiring somewhere. Do you know how to get the headlamp pull off also?
there is no power at either switch the one the dash nor the key switch in the door
i have checked ir withe key on and have changed the circut breaker fuses to new ones, but i still cant get power at either switch
