Fixed it myself. I checked power and ground on fuel pump, then w/rubber mallet I banged the fuel tank and the fuel pump went on for a few seconds while someone cranked car, it started for arou 20 -30 seconds. This helped me diagn. the problem and I put in a new fuel assembly.\

2003 saab 95 aero misfire

I see no one else has posted an answer for you here yet so I will take a stab at it for you. The P1300 codes I am familiar with on the Saab's are P1334 and P1312 which almost always means the ignition cassette is failing. Most of the time the car will still run good, at least at first anyway getting worse over time. They are not cheap, ebay has the lowest prices and most availability that I know of. They are very easy to replace, just one electrical connector and four large torx screws right on top of the engine. If you have a black one replace it with black, red with red. To be absolutely sure you get the right one it's best to match part numbers. That being said most of the ones I have used have been interchangeable as long as they are the same color & # of cylinders.

2003 saab 95 aero p-code 1300

Here is what I could find on it:

P1300
Random Misfire Detected. Catalyst Damaging.

Chances are that the Saab Ignition cassette is failing. You can find them on ebay, I recommend a new one since it is a common failure. Best to put new plugs in it while you are at it.

Easy to change, you just need a T-30 Torx (4 small bolts)
and one electrical connector on top of the engine. Oh and a good spark plug wrench.

My saab 9-3 aero coupe 2001 has misfiring problem when going to accelerate the speed of the car. also turbo doesn't give the power it should.help

Hello
The engine and automatic transmission in this vehicles drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Power Train Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM

2003 SATURN VUE SERIVE ENGINE SOON LIGHT IS BLINKING ON AND OFF RAN THE OBDII READER AND CODE P0304 CYLINDER MISFIRE CAME UP I CHANGE SPARK PLUGS AND BOOTS BUT CAR STILL DRIVES ROUGH SHAKES AND WHEN PARKED...

The P0304 indicates the #4 cylinder is misfiring. The flashing light means the cylinder is not firing at all...It could be several things causeing it, coil, wires, plug, injector or vacuum leak. Do not drive your vehicle until you have this repaired, as it will lead to further more costly problems. Good luck, i hope this helps.

I have a 2003 Expedition 5.4L Triton. Two days ago, with low gas (38 miles to empty), engine started running rough. Code read P0302, misfire cyl. 2. Since it had 113K miles, I figured its time to change...

Most likely the coils. Easiest way to check is swap them with another cylinder, start it, pull the plug wire connecter and if it doesn't change the engine the coil is bad. If it is the injector, then you can check it with an ohm meter. Touch the leads in the injector it should read 11 to 15 ohms. if you need help let me know.
