Need urgent help, please! My Lexus LS 460L 2008 show the icon ABS, VSC, and Brake System and it says CONTACT DEALER. This problem happened only when the engine is cold. When I drive for about 20 minutes, I stop the engine and start it again, there is no more problem. This happened same thing for few days so I decided to go to the authorized Toyota dealer in Cambodia. My car was checked and advise me to keep overnight for them to study this case. The next two days I got answer for the dealer that they tried all their best but my car getting worse, one more icon shown BRAKE MALFUNCTION, PARK YOUR CAR IN A SAFE PLACE CONTACT DEALER. You need the system fault code tested first thing.

Hi there:
When this comes on as it has it means: When the center differential is locked, VSC control turns off and the VSC OFF indicator illuminates. This is straight from the Lexus diagnostic chart.

The system is faulted in some way so you will need to have the fault memory read out, and then depending on what fault code or codes are stored will determine the type of diagnosis that will need to be performed.

A dealer would be your best bet to get the cause determined. Their scan tool, when hooked up to you vehicle will give them all of the information they need to rectify your condition. After the scan results are found, replacement parts or adjustments can be performed.

VSC (Vehicle Stability System) Sound like a problem with the ABS system, scanned with some reader code to know exactly which code stored there.

sounds like you need a couple more sensors. Abs light/brake may be on due to abs wheel sensor. VSC would be a steering angle sensor. skid control has its own sensor. I assume your accident also involved the wheel or wheels (some type of impact or hard jarring). The sensors arent cheap and they are easy to fix, they need to step up and do the right thing

You have overcharged the power to the cars on board computer and confused it. Remove both battery connections and leave to stand overnight preferably, this in most cases resets the computer and will turn the lights off.

The thing is once you triggered them the computer is told to not turn them off without the help of a dealer. Removing the power source from the computer for a short time wont do anything as the car has a small battery within the ECU to keep it going, 24hrs is normally enough.

have the dealer run a test on the system and see what trouble codes show up, that will tell u where to look for the problem, it makes no sense why you have no brakes, so this test is essential.
