20 Most Recent 2005 Toyota Prius Questions & Answers

I assume the AC was turned on, and I assume you mean the cabin ventilation fan. If these remain unavailable often, it probably has something to do with either fuses or the control panel and nothing to do with the engine or motor. Is there a check engine light - if so get the code read. If not then assume the dash board control panel might have a wiring issue.

The multi-display has three fuses located in the driver side junction box: the 15A ECU-B FUSE, the 7.5A ECU-IG FUSE, and the 7.5A ACC FUSE. These fuses can be identified and purchased at an auto parts store.

Interesting. Personally, I would remove the hot side of the battery and leave it off for about 30 minutes and then reconnect it. It sounds like something has corrupted. This will reboot your system.

If that doesn't work...call/write/chat with Toyota and explain what is happening and see if they have a suggestion.

you have two coolant systems on a hybrid. both systems should of had the coolant changed (due @100k). Spark plugs should of been changed (due @120k). those re the two high mileage maintence items I would be sure were done. Toyota dealer can change the beep to a single beep instead of a constant beeping.
