On my 2004 LS 430 the driver side mirror dosn't stop, it gos allaway back. any suggestion?
Have this problem too. 2004 LS430 driver side view mirror clicks forward past useful view when ignition is turned on. Have to manually pull it back each time. Think best solution (cheapest) would be to find right fuse to pull, resulting in side view mirrors being deactivated. No problem as I am the only driver and adjustments not necessary...

are they not the same as the other cars where you will press a clip at the bottom of one of the post and you can slide out the headrest?

Yes, you have to open the door panel and inspect the linakage. Either something came loose and fell of, or something is broken..

hello george... that mirror's internal cam is broken. the dealer is correct in saying that it has to be replaced. that said, I would recommend replacing it with a mirror from a used auto parts place, or an aftermarket mirror. price both by going to a body shop as they have all of those phone contacts. within just a couple of minutes they will tell you the cost of each option.
