Hi! My radio cassette fuse blew in my 1989 Volvo. After replacing the fuse, everything works fine: lighter, radio display, tuner etc., but I no longer have sound. Please help! I can't live without my radio! I have the stock manual, but there's no troubleshooting section. Thanking you in advance, Karen

Check the #11 15amp fuse. It might need to be replaced.

hopefully nothing serious. if you can, make sure your wires did not burned or got too hot.Visually inspect them. Then, if you have a voltmeter check to see if you getiing power to it. no voltmeter? Go to your nearest auto parts store and ask for a test light. Back to the lighter, if you have power on the wires or wires leading to the back of the lighter, more than like it you lighter burned out. No power on the wires? make sure wire did not get fryed or burned, all wires look good? check fuses again. worst case scenario, can't find problem ? you can run another wire from your fuse box to the lighter.

Also, for radio, cigarette, and others: behind the "storage only" box left of steering wheel. Pull that door open, up and out.
SOURCE: HI, my renault clio radio and clock display are dead
Hi All, the very same thing happened to me. Cold weather broke my radio and the display screen stayed on with the time and temperature but the radio wouldn't work. I rang Renault & they said I need to come in an get a new radio but I put it off. In the end the problem started affecting my battery and the car wouldn't start. But then when I jump started it, it also started the radio again perfectly. Problem solved!
Hope this helps. Good luck!

There is a panel on the passengers side of the car, I pulled the fuse used for OnStar because I dont use it. I didn see any labling on mine but it was the fuse located second from the top on the left side, but you have to be looking at it side ways because of the way the fuse box is orientated.
And then put it in the socket all the way to the right second from the bottom, again looking at it sideways. NOTE: My car is a 2006 Malibu LT
