Where is the transimisson filter located in mazda 626 /2000?

    i opened the pan and to my surprise there was no filter please tell me where can i find the other pan where the filter is, i opened the pan on the front of the tranny . please help....

I was told by autozone that some trannys for that model was deep inside the trans..this model was not intended for change unless the trans was rebuilt. All that is offered is to drain the fluid and flush.

The transmission filter is inside the transmission. in order to change you must remove the transmission and separate the case.

For 1996 Mazda 626 2.5L MFI DOHC 6cyl the Fuel Filter is located under hood, driver side, engine side of strut tower, below air filter housing, mounted in fuel line.

The fuel filter on most Mazda cars can be located on a bracket in the left rear of the engine compartment, next to or beneath the brake master cylinder fluid reservoir or as part of the fuel pump assembly.

The filter on Mazda3 models is part of the fuel pump assembly.

The fuel filter is part of the pump assembly. Once the fuel pump is removed, remove the filter retainer and filter. refer to the fuel pump procedure or removal and installation.

How do i change the transimisson fluid in a 2004
There should a plug underneath the gearbox about halfway along it. Itshould be about 17mm and remove that and the oil will flow out and get rid of the metal shavings on the plug as it is magnetic.
