2003 Mazda 6. I don't have any throttle to speak of. I hold it to the floor and maybe get it to 40 mph. I put a throttle body and pedal on it, and got the same thing?

Question edited for all the typos and spelling errors. Question moved to year, make model category. You need an auto electrician with a pro grade scan tool to scan for diagnostic trouble bodes and communication issues. When you change the Throttle Body and the Throttle Position Sensor, they need to be reset. You can try yourself though https://www.google.com/search?q=2003+mazda+6+reset+throttle+position+sensor ..

I hav a 2003 Mazda 6, 2.3. Alt went bad, battery also, replaced both.Replaced alt & battery hav oxygen sensors hooked up but no cat on it. Would no cat keep car from not starting?

No it will not have any impact on starting. Instead check the fuses and relays one could easily have blown when you were working on it also look at the TPS and MAF/MAP sensors. I hope this helps. Take Care.

I have a 2003 mazda 6 2.3 engine has a misfire. could this be an ecm problem?

Have the fuel trims been checked? These (short term fuel trim - STFT and long term fuel trim - LTFT) can be checked with an OBDII tool, and can provide a lot of information about what may be happening. If you have a vacuum leak, for instance, the O2 sensors will report a lean condition to the ECM and it will add fuel to the engine to try to correct. You will see this in the fuel trim numbers. So, yes, the ECM can cause the misfire, BUT if so, it's because something is not right in the engine. Have a qualified technician evaluate ALL parameters and determine what may be wrong. You've spent a lot of money on parts (O2 sensors, coils, plugs, wires, PCV valve and hose, alternator), and have invested a lot of your time. It's very possible that none, or only a couple, of those parts needed to be replaced. Invest in the expertise of a trained technician.

Car will not start in cold weather unless you use something to heat up ecu. Can ecu be purchased preflashed

Sounds as if there is a poor solder/connection within the ECU. Most ECU's need to be installed into the vehicle when flashing is done. Check electrical connections/plugs at the ECU for looseness. Sometimes, just connecting/reconnecting the plugs may correct the problem

Check oil, stick bone dry oil light never came on... why?

Hi SeanThe only reason that I could possibly come up with is that there still was enough oil in the sump to build enough oil pressure that the sender was happy. On second thought, maybe two reasons... the oil pressure switch is faulty.(EDIT)Read your comment, there's an easy way to check if your oil light is working. Turn the ignition switch to ON (without starting) your oil light if it's working should come on.Hope this helps you out.-Steve

Smelling gas. Is that a vacuum hose leak?

The first place to look for a leak in these new cars is the fuel tank vent hose or the fuel injection line. Older cars, pre-1980's, have a carburetor float bowl. When you shut off a pre-1980 car there is normally some boiled fuel that will create a smell of gas.

Very loud squeal when accelerating and loss of power

How many miles? V6? Have you had a tune up(spark plugs changed..AT LEAST)? Should be changed about every 60,000 miles, according to the manual. Does your engine burn oil? Check your intake rubber tube, vac lines, pcv tube for crack. Hopefully your catalytic converter isn't the problem due to above...
