Clean your throttle body.
check for codes; you might have a map sensor problem, or your tps might have a dead spot. 9 times out of ten it is a dirty throttle body; the iac can't react fast enough to regulate air when the small gap adjustment of the throttle body gets contaminated with a tarry buildup.

SOURCE: corsica stalls at stop signs

sounds like the EGR valve is sticky, take a small screw driver and tap the valve when the engine is at idle and you will notice a change in the way the engine runs, if the vehicle smooths out disconnect the valve and drive the vehicle and it should not cut off please let me know and dont forget to rate me!!

SOURCE: 92 Chevy Suburban Electrical Fuel System

Check fuel flter at fuel pick-up intank (looks like a small wire sock). Remove fuel filter and fitting at fuel rail. Blow out fuel lines w/about 35lbs air press. Ck electrical @ relay - should be 4 connectors - one is key on hot/one is always hot/one is ground and last is hot to fuel pump. Good Luck

before you drop tank again, check fuses & relay.then disconnect fuel line @ filter turn key to on position should hear fuel pump run and get gas stream out of line. if no flow from line new pump faulty be sure & remove negative battery cable first good luck.

SOURCE: #6 Cylinder Misfire, Rough Idle but smoothes out

you could have a valve stem seal bleeding down when the truck sits causing the blue smoke on start up and if bad enough may be fouling that spark plug with oil I have an 89 k5 blazer with 140k on the clock it does the same thing on cold starts and is a common problem on older hige milage gm v8s. also stick with ac delco plugs.

Sounds like the aircon is kicking in when you turn on your heater. This will load up an idling engine, and if it is idling too slowly is will stall out the engine. Try increasing your engine idle speed until the heater on function doesn't stall the engine at idle speed.

mcdevito75 here, Sounds like a faulty voltage regulator, it"s 1 unit with the alternator, change the alternator, also the alt. supplies juice to the ignition switch, distributor abd plugs, thus a rough idle due to bad alternator.

It sounds like they have got the distributor out of time. You will need to adjust the distributor. That is what it sounds like.

Engine turns off when coming to a stop

I have used this procedure for years.
Here is the most common cause of surges and stalls and low idle rough idle, it is the idle speed control air-bypass valve and throttle valve (IAC for short), they get full of gunk over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.
