SOURCE: how replace a transmission modulator valve on

It is located on the transmission with a vaccume line going to it. There is a clamp with a bolt that holds it to the transmission. It is an easy fix.

SOURCE: 1998 Ford Explorer sport 4.0L 4x2 PCV Valve Location

the pcv is located on the rear(firewall) of the drivers side valve cover.turn counterclockwise and pull to remove be careful there are 2 small tabs inside the pcv hole in the valve cover(can feel with small finger) this is to hold valve in place so it wont leak.if you have a oil leak at the pcv a quick fix is to put a small amount of silicone around the pcv o-ring and install.wait hours for silicone to set up.

If you're asking about the electronic pressure control solenoid, it's on the driver side of the valve body. There are 4 sols on that side, it's the one closest to the rear. It's bigger & heavier than the other 3.

SOURCE: pcv valve :where is it located on a 1999 ford explorer sport 2wd

It is located at the back of the engine near the fire wall. It is gray with a T connector at the top with two hoses coming off of the T and going forward into the intake manifold.

SOURCE: 05 Ford Explorer Transmission

on the bottom of the transmission pan you will find a nut with a hex or torx in the middle you remove the center plug when the truck is hot and running on a level serface the trans fluod will dribble out if it does not dribble out it is low if it runs out fast a steedy streem it is over full now their is a part that screws into this for a fill if you remove the pan you will see how it works the pan has a pipe/ stack that when full of fluid the top of the pipe is at the full point if you remove the large nut the stack and plug will come out the best way to change the trans fluid is take it to some place that has a fluid exchange equment this will get all the fluid out including the torque converter

How do i replace transmission modulator valve on a 1991 gmc sierra 1500 4.3

UNLESS you have a TH400 3 speed HD automatic transmission, which I HIGHLY doubt being it's a 1500 with a 4.3, you won't have a vacuum modulator. UNLESS someone swapped an older TH350 or TH400 transmission into the truck.

Instead you'll have what called a TV cable, or throttled valve cable.

This cable should be located on the passenger side of the transmission and is routed up to the side of the throttle body and hooked up like the old "kick down" cables.

The TV cable isn't simply a "kick down" cable, even though it does act like one, it also adjusts the pressure for the transmission to shift at different throttle positions. Much like the old vacuum modulators did.

Hope this helps.

Where is the transmission modulator valve on a 1996 ford explorer v6

It is located on the right side of the transmission usually. Just in front of the passenger side floor pan on the side of the transmission case. You will have to run it up on ramps to get to it. As usual take all safety precautions and block the wheels real good. All 4 if possible. Good Luck.

The automatic transmission wont shift past 2nd gear

The transmission in the truck is shifted by electric solenoid valves and they are controlled by a computer. What must be done now is to the system control module scanned for fault codes and proper diagnostics performed based on that information.

I can't locate the low valve on my 1991 ford explorer engine to install freon

Wear eye protection before you do this. Follow the a/c line from firewall to compressor there should be a low side schrater valve there for charging. This vehicle uses R12, this refrigerant is expensive.( unless it has been converted to R134A). I recommend you check for leaks before charging it and use the correct manifold gauge set to do it with.

Location of modulator

The transmission modulator valve is located on the passenger side of the transmission near the top. It is accessible most easily by removing the passenger seat, (5 bolts), removing the door carpet trim, pulling back the carpet and opening the access panel on the transmission hump. The modulator is clamped on the transmission with a 7/16 bolt. After you remove the bolt and clamp, remove the modulator with a twisting motion. Be careful to pay attention to the actuating pin inside the modulator. It will fall out if not careful. Installation is reverse procedure. Some suggest using a little vasoline on the pin to keep it in place, but if you're careful, you can do without.

Just replaced transmission ~1991 Ford Explorer ~ now won't start

I think you disturbed a connection in the transmission repair area becuase the antitheft system needs to communicate with the powertran control module and your encoded key to allow the engine to start. The antitheft module disables the starter and also will not allow the engine to start if there is not proper communication. look for fully seated connections and be sure there is no modue attached to the old trans that should have been transferred.
