When the car starts a yellow warning light comes on, on the dash, it's shaped vaguely like a tap and has check written under it. When the light is on the car bucks and loses power before running ok again. When the light flashes the car goes through this power loss thing, but when the light is on solidly the car runs more smoothly but still feels wrong. What would cause this? The car has 52,000 miles on the clock.
First thing to do is check all fluid levels, and top them up as needed, especially rad & oil. Have you checked owners manual for explanation ?

I have a similar problem. When I start the care the yellow light like a tap with a check written under it lights up and wont go off. The cars seems to run fine. but I am worried if there is something wrong with it? what does this light mean? it is for Transmission oil or Filter? Help please

i have some what a simmular problam i have 02 accent with 88k on it. the check engin light recently have come on and im i have also noticed that my transmition is slipping. i checked the trany fluid when it was (COLD ) and the fluid was reading high in the (HOT ) reagon could this be problamatic ? also i have no iidea id the timing belt has been changed so thats on the list along with all the hoseses and bother belts and most likely the water pump and thurmastat whuls its all a part i have a very long drive soon 2000 miles so i want to make sure its all good. should i go with all oem belts and hoses and water pump? or off brand are ok ?
what is with the check enging light and how dose it get reset ?
