Had alternator checked and is fine, like new. Just put in new battery. Checked all fuses; under hood and under dash. All in tack with no blown fuses. Often AC blower flunctuates when power does and any lights that do work: cruse control light and radio clock, dim and brighten constantly. Can actually feel power surges in power of car (slight jerky motion). Please help me decide where to look next. Head lights come on automatically with a light sensor on top of passenger side dash, when sun goes down.

check fuse block for shorts, melting discoloring,on back side of fuse panel around starter relay. loose connection causes fuse block to over heat will need to be replaced.hope this helps.

If the fault would have been in the relays or fuses then all the lights would have been out. Your problem is in the wiring - the wire that powers them is disconnected.
You will gonna have to take out the instrument panel to access the dash harness and check the connectors on it.

Those are all symptom,s of a low system voltage condition, so you had better get a 2nd opinion on the Alternator, I strongly suggest you seek out a dealer service dept for help.
