THE RADIATOR DRAIN TAP "PETCOCK" FOR THE 94 JEEP CHEROKEE IS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE RADIATOR - THOUGH TO BE BRUTALLY HONEST YOU WOULD BE BETTER JUST REMOVING THE BOTTOM HOSE TO DRAIN THE RADIATOR AS THE TAP/PETCOCK HAS A TENDENCY TO SNAP IN THESE OLDER MODEL JEEPS - IT DID WITH MY 96 JGC & IT COST ME A NEW RADIATOR TO THEN "FIX" THE PROBLEM.

How easy is it to remove lower rad hose? I've reverted to that more than once rather than fight with some of those drain plugs & their neat locations.

Try checking the cooling fan clutch..if it is defective, it may cause the jeep to overheat..especially in warmer weather!

the drain plug for the radiator is located on the bottom, passenger side, facing the engine. it looks like a plastic wing nut. it will take several turns before it starts to drain
