    Guru:

Thank you for your quick reply. I have searched the internet for quite some time looking for anything about it..I will check into the solenoid, which i think your talking about the transmission control solenoid..i had someone look over the wiring as much as they could with no luck. I will let you know how it goes..btw, i did find online at auto zone that part, but will check with a mechanic first..Thanks again Guru!!

Chances are the the solenoid that controls the 4- wheel drive is either faulty and causing a short or the wire harness leading to it has a short. the solenoid is a dealer only itm and should be checked by a certified mechanic.. please rate this

Richard Will spammer- 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada AWD smartrac 4.3 liter V6 and my ATC fuse keeps blowing it's not pulling up an engine code and I'm trying to figure out y it keeps blowing please help

Sorry but an ATC fuse is a blade style fuse. They are larger than ATM fuses and found in many later model vehicles. Please write back and specify which ATC fuse it is that keeps blowing. It should be related to the ECM, ignition system or fuel system. If there are any other details please include that information as well. Any recent work or repairs performed. Besides scanning for codes. Was there anything strange that you noticed? Anything that isn't powering up or functioning normal?

Service 4 wheel drive message comes on and no lights for 2and 4 wheel drive come on. On my 2004 gmc

Often lights under a dash or indicators just blow out bulbs. If more than one thing isn't lighting and are centralized check fuses to see if its blown. Bulb or fuse. IMHO. MIGHT be a sensor on tranny too. Hope not.

Here's a video with detaile dinstrauctions and other people's fuse questions. New fuses?

Kind Regards,
Scott

My bravada has smartrac and it acts like it is in 4wd every tie i turn the stearing wheel

Basicly olny two wheels are driven at any one time on this system . One in the front and one in the rear its a limited slip system so the wheel that is slipping and spinning faster cuts out and the wheel that is getting traction will kick in bolth front and rear cairrirs idealy . If you could give some more detail about the problem and be specific and give me engine size witch should be a 4.3 Vortec and the ID of the transmission witch should be a 4L60-E im sure i could help you Thank you

Transmission won't shift & speed odometer don't work

oooo man i just spent a ton of money trying to figure this problem out. i have a 99 bravada to. let me guess the gauges lite up but the rpm and spedo do not work. also the transmission wont shift while in drive. this is how i fixed mine. on the driver side, open the door there is a fuse box on the side of the dash. it is probly shorted out, even tho the fuses arnt blow it could still not be working. here is what u can to to fix it temporarly. take out the fuses that say dash and ignition, now run a hot wire to the fuse box and touch it to the ignition and dash fuse spots. and while u have both of them connected turn the car on and put it in drive and it should take off in first gear and run how it should. (when u connect the hot wire to those spots the dash should come on, even tho the key isnt on)

The front wheel drive of the all wheel drive quite. Could it be a relay or fuse

It depends on if you have an eletronic shifter or a manual shifter for the transfer case. Do you have a lever or a push botton to shift into 4 wheel drive. And how did it go out i mean were you driveing it in 4 wheel and it went out or were you one day trying to put it in 4 wheel and it didn;t go in

Where is fuel pump main relay

Grab a Haynes manual #42014 and on page 4-4 it explains how to test the main relay. The main relay is located up under the instrument panel, attached to a bracket on the left side of the steering column. Also, check the number 1 fuse or the ACG S fuse found in the engine compartment. Both of these fuses are 15 amp.
