Where is the trunk release switch for 2003 toyota solara

Under the panel between the back window and the trunk lid opening, on the outer edges of the trunk opening.
2 small knobs that look like little cigarette lighters.

You should be able to use the trunk release, If this is the type of release that doesn't require the key to be on to use the release button. Most likely you can just pop it open.

There is a hidden deactivation button in the glove box. Just push it and your problem should be solved.

Its probably the cable that runs from the latch to the trunk. This happened to me in my Accord. The part was only $25, but the labor was almost $260, so I just bought the part and did it myself. It was a lot of work (had to take up the carpet a little and take out the seats, but it only took 2 hours with 2 people working on it and I saved $260. hope that helps!
