More than likely the plastic gear in the motor has went out. you could easily but a new motor or take the old motor out and remove the one screw that holds the cover over the gear and dump out all the old gear shavings then insert 3 7/16 bolts in their place. it works perfect in my 95 grand marquis on both front windows

SOURCE: How to install a new power window motor in my 1993

Remove all screws to door panel. Remove the lock and window controls. Then take large flat-tip screwdriver and gently pry directly next to plastic studs holding panel on to door. Lift door panel off. Remove plastic out of the way. You will now have access to window motor. You may have to solder off old wiring. Or if you have enough to cut, would be good

My brother wrecked his 96 grand marquis ls and I was wondering if I could use his fob transmitter on my 96 grand marquis ls can this work?

You could try it, but I'm going to about 99.5% guaruntee it won't work, for programming reasons. HOWEVER, if you replace the computer/receiver unit out of your brother's Grand Marquis LS, it ought to work very well. Hope it works well!

Rear window will not go back up on my 1994 Grand Marquis. I can hear the motor but the plastic gears may be stripped. Is this a tough problem to fix?

the window regulator needs to be replaced. you need the track and the motor which come as one unit. pick this part up at the salvage yard for about $40. I have replaced both rear regulators in my 94 mercury grand marquis ls

What is the tire size for a 1995 Mercury Marquis?

On Firestone's site it says for a 1995 Grand Marquis with the handling package, the tire size is P225/60R16 with or without the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system).

For a 1995 Grand Marquis GS/LS with or without TPMS it says the tire size is P215/70R15.

The page I entered in the info is here:

Hope this helps.
