No heat, no rear wiper and no ligths in car

The car was running fine and while I was waiting for my wife in the parking lot with the car runnnig, the dash lights went off (speedometer), and I had no more lights in the car (three roof lights). Also the auto door lock is not working. It took some time to notice it but now it's -29 celcius and there is almost no heat coming out when the system is running. The temperature gauge is right in the middle but still no heat. I looked at the F11 fuse and it's fine plus, I have the accesseries are working. Any idea?

SOURCE: Electrical problem

I just had the same issues. No headlights, interior lights, power door locks, radio controls on steering wheel, or dash lights. Pulled every fuse in cab and under hood, not a one was bad. I disconnected the battery terminals for a few minutes. When I reconnected them every thing was working.

SOURCE: Both rear wheels are locked up on 2000 Dodge Neon

Had this problem a really long time ago. Dad died and his fairly new car sat in the garage for six months. When we tried to get it out of there, it may as well have been welded to the floor. Flat-bedded to my shop, took rear drums off, found nothing, put it back together and it never did it again. Only thing I can think of is that moisture in the air swelled the linings, engaging them. Trying to drag the car till the brakes disengage will cause flat spots on your tires. Beating on drums may cause them to go out of round. Remove drums to make sure nothing else is going on in there and you should be fine.
My Mom still says it was ghosts....

SOURCE: 1999 dodge caravan intermittent instrument cluster

This Seems Indicative Of a Poor Connection AT The CLUSTER Or A Junction Connecter Close to the Cluster. This is Assuming you Have Ruled OUT ALL ABS COMPONENTS, LOOK at These VERY CLOSLY Because of the Small Volts These Wires Carry , the SMALLEST DEFECT WILL Cause this Type of Symptom that you have given. Please try all of the Above, I feel Confedint that athis is where your Problem Is.

Our 2012 Ford Escape rear wiper motor and washer fluid stopped working .

Did you check fuse's & relays ?
Rear Window Wiper Operation
The rear wiper motor is controlled by the SJB. The SJB supplies power to the rear wiper motor from the integrated rear wiper relay. The SJB will activate the relay when all of the following conditions are met:
  • Ignition switch is in the ON position
  • Liftgate glass and liftgate are closed
  • Multi-function switch is in the ON or intermittent position
The SJB also supplies voltage to the rear wiper motor from SJB fuse 21 (15A) when the ignition switch is in the ON position. This power feed is used to continue the wipe cycle when the multi-function switch is turned to the OFF position. The SJB receives inputs from the multi-function switch that applies ground to the low speed wipe input or applies ground to the intermittent wipe input. When either of these circuits are grounded, the SJB activates the integrated rear wiper relay and power is supplied to the rear wiper motor to move the rear wiper motor from the park position. An internal switch in the rear wiper motor then moves to the run position which connects the accessory relay power to the rear wiper motor. When the rear wiper motor returns to the park position, the internal switch in the rear wiper motor moves back to the park position. If the multi-function switch is in the ON position, the rear wiper relay is still activated, power is supplied to the rear wiper motor, and the wipe cycle starts again. If the multi-function switch is in the intermittent position, the rear wiper relay does not activate until the predetermined dwell time has elapsed, at which time the SJB activates the rear wiper relay and the wipe cycle starts again. The SJB is the smart junction box .(computer )

Rear Washer System
The SJB supplies power to the rear washer pump from fuse 21 (15A) when the ignition switch is in the ON or ACC position. The rear washer pump receives ground from the multi-function switch when the wash function is turned ON. The multi-function switch also signals the SJB when the rear wash is activated and the SJB then activates the rear wiper.

Rear wiper motor does not park any more. the wiper runs in continuous mode fine, but stops immediately upon switch to off position. in INT mode, the wiper does not go through a full cycle before stoping in...

a broken wiper controller...
(its in a box the size of a relay under the dash) costs about £15 - $20 tops.
pointless to try repair the controller- most car shops should stock the part, just phone around. .

Rear windshield wiper problem on 99 Expedition.

2 ways of dealing with this. Install a new motor or put up with it until you install a new motor. I usually give it a very light tap with a hammer or a wrench & they start working fine at least for a while

Wiper was pushed down from the parked position

you will need a flat screwdriver about 5/16 or 3/8's wide. to pry your wiper blade off. pull back on your wiper arm while prying with your screwdriver. work on both sides of your wiper blade, you will notice it starting to come off a bit at a time. just keep working it till it falls off.... good luck sawdust46

Wires burned no brake lights and one taillight doesnt work

Yes , The wiring in question does effect the brake lights because they all run on the same circuit.
I would repiar or repalce all the wiring and then replace the brake light switch. The switch could have shorted out from the fire.
