Ng900 and og9-3 fuel door locks with all the doors, use the remote or central locking switch to unlock all the doors, fuel door should then open. If not then something is wrong, there is an emergency release behind the carpet in the trunk in that corner, look for the yellow tag on a wire.
plastic rod clip probably broken off. if you can hear the lock move on central locking if not it can be the door wire rubber the wires in this can snap over time so no power gets to the locking solenoid. should be able to get access by removing the door card at lock side and getting your hand in to move the lock over. so can open the door. it will bend the door card doing this and you may need to by some new clips when fitting the door card back on.
The central lock system won't exactly lock the fuel "cap" but it does have an actuator that extends to prevent the fuel door from opening when the doors are locked. Easy to test, as long as that's working then you're lucky enough to not have to bother with a locking gas cap & more keys!
There will not be an opening for the fuel tank inside the car. This would be an enormous safety risk as you would have volatile fumes in side a confined space. May be you are wanting to open the filler door in the side of the car from inside the car which is a vastly different question
Put your ear close to the door and activate the lock/unlock. If you hear click click there is a loose/disconected lever which is moving without activating the lock. If you hear nothing something is stuck or dead. Open door panel and clean system then check again. Might need replacing the unit in the door.
I had the same thing happen. There is no manual release, which means you have to replace the fuse that is blown causing it to lock. It was the central lock fuse in my case. But as I was almost out of gas and at the gas station, I had to pry it open....Not the best thing but it worked.
Thanks, I've found it.
