Replace the dimmer switch. That item is at fault

In my opinion, the BEST way is to get somebody else to do it for free!...LOLHowever, that is not very likely to happen in this millenium, so I have provided the pictures below.Also please note that there is a Mazda 6i and a Mazda 6s But there is no Mazda MX6 in 2005. There is, however, a Mazda MX5...so assuming this is what you meant, the pictures are for the MX5.If you meant Masda 6i or Mazda 6s, these pictures are not even close because the 6-series requires removal of the front bumper to remove the head lights.

Look in the engine compartment power distribution center

If the thermostat pipe is colder when at working temperature it usually suggests the thermostat has failed. It's usually a reasonably cheap and common reason for over heating issues. It's a good start point for hunting the cause of the overheating.

Either the coil is bad or the crank shaft position senor is bad if you have one on this vehicle.
You can also go to autozone.com and register for a repair manual if you desire one.

Any other indications? Here's not enough information unfortunately.

sounds like your starter relay is bad! to find it just follow the clicking noise ( have someone turn it over while your listening under the hood!

Sounds like a bad switch to me. If it was a relay,it would not work period.Not to mention, the switch controls the dash lights too.
