1998 Mazda Protege: 1.8l. Getting code cyl #3 misfire. New wires, new distributor and new plugs. Ideas?
Indeed, it could be a bad injector causing the "dead" cylinder. Have someone remove the actuator wires connected to the injectors and do an ohm-meter test on them to see is that #3 injector the only one showing a different value from the rest. If so, you need change the injector. The injector itself is cheap enough, just getting it changed can cost a little. I don't know what that price would be. Now, IF all injectors read out the same or close in values, Then it's apparent you need to have a compression check done on all cylinders. If you find #3 cylinder compression is very low, then you need have a valve job done on that head. Most likely the exhaust valve is burnt/faulty. I'm not looking to scare you, I'm just telling you what needs done and how simple or complex this "miss" can possibly be caused by.

My clutch isn't working
The thing does wear out. Try adjusting it first. If that doesn't work replace the whole clutch and if the flywheel has any hard spots on it, have them removed first or the new clutch will wear quickly

Blower motor not working on 4 1998 Mazda protege
check for power and ground at the blower motor. if this is good then hit motor. if it starts the motor needs replacing. then check the fuse then the fan speed switch for power and ground going to the switch and coming out of switch.

No brake lights
Sounds like it is your brake light switch which is located on the brake pedal itself. Should cost around $20 at autozone and is pretty easy to change out yourself. Thanks for rating my response and for using FixYa!

My 1998 Mazda protege is stuck in park? Help me fix please
the release is a solenoid that is powered by applying the brakes. do you have brake lights. that gives you an indication that the signal is being generated and that the solenoid is either bad or miss adjusted. this device is within the shifter console.

What are the timing marks for a 1.5 mazda 4 cyl engine
not possible to have two different size gears on the cams . I take it that it is a twin overhead cam to have 2 cam gears and both have to be the same size of there is no hope of valve timing. If you only have 1 cam shaft then the other gear may be a balance shaft gear and it will have to timed in as well or the engine will suffer vibration problems. Carefully identify the engine so that more help can be given
