1999 Chevrolet Prizm - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
What is the tire size on a 99- prizm
call a tire shop or the dealer for the exact tire size. The oil has to be going somewhere. If it's not leaking it's burning. check the plugs for oil, ck for mixture of anti freeze & oil mixing together, if it runs hot/ overheats it may be a head gasket. Or a crank or cam seal that's leaking only while driving. Have it checked, the system is supposed to be sealed.
Leak in "high pressure tube" causing A/C to not work
There are a couple of high pressure lines in your a/c system. The high pressure side usually hovers around 200-225 psi on warm days so the lines cannot be spliced. The system, by law, must be recovered and evacuated before any repair can be made. I'm sorry to tell you but this is not a repair that can be done at home in your garage unless you have a Freon recovery and evacuation machine at home.
Why does my efi fuse keeps popping 1999 chevy prizm
Pull the EFI relay, replace the fuse, and see if it blows when you turn the key on. If it does not turn the key off, reinstall the EFI relay and remove the circuit opening relay/fuel pump relay. Turn the key on. If the fuse blows than we know the problem is One of the O2 sensors, the IAC, the purge solenoid, or the ECM
You can unplug the O2 sensors, iac, and purge solenoid. Replace the fuse, turn the key on, and plug them in one at a time until the fuse blows. Replace that component.
If the fuse blows with those unplugged than its probaly the wiring and possibly the ECM.

My blow out hot air
Sorry, your question does not contain enough information for anyone to help you with your problem. For anyone to provide the information for you, they will first need to know the YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, and ENGINE SIZE of the vehicle that you want the information for.
Sometimes on a cold start, I turn the key and
Engine is difficult to start when cold
- Check the battery condition, battery state of
charge and starter motor current draw. Replace the battery if marginal
and the starter motor if the current draw is beyond specification.
- Check the battery cable condition. Clean the battery terminals and replace corroded or damaged cables.
- Check the fuel system for proper operation. A
fuel pump with insufficient fuel pressure or clogged injectors should
be replaced.
- Check the engine's tune-up status. Note the
tune-up specifications and check for items such as severely worn spark
plugs; adjust or replace as needed. On vehicles with manually
adjusted valve clearances, check for tight valves and adjust to
specification.
- Check for a failed coolant temperature sensor, and replace if out of specification.
- heck the operation of the engine management systems for fuel and ignition; repair or replace failed components as necessary.
Were is the thing for
If there is not a cable going to the speedometer from the transmission then it has a VSS (Elecdtronic Vehicle speed sensor) attached to the speedometer.
