Jaguar S Type 2.7 diesel 2006

Sounds like you have a ground issue. Make sure you check the ground between the bulb socket and the body.

2.7 s type brakes not working as they should they are ok when you start breaking but when you are down to about 10mph the pedal becomes very hard to push and the car trys to roll on ?

It is possible the problem is ABS related but could equally be a problem with the vacuum servo or brake booster or the "supply" of vacuum. Certainly best practice would be to begin by ensuring the brakes at each wheel are in good order. Test the brake servo by pressing the brake pedal vigorously several times while stationary with the engine off. The pedal should then feel higher than usual and rock-hard. Apply the footbrake with a moderate force and start the engine without using the accelerator pedal, if possible. The brake pedal should be felt to pull itself down under your foot immediately the engine starts and stop pulling down in just two or three seconds, maybe just a second or two more if it is a diesel model. Release the brake, allow the engine to idle for a few seconds longer and switch off. Listen carefully in the resulting silence for the sound of air leaking. This might have to be repeated several times in order to listen under the dash and in the engine compartment around the brake booster and vacuum lines. A short piece of garden hose used as a listening tube can be useful. Once a servo has been charged with vacuum, in the absence of leaks, it should remain charged for a long time if the brake is not used - certainly hours but often months or even years is not unusual. Aplly a moderate pressure to the brake pedal and a shhhhh... sound should be heard that lasts about a second and then stops. Increase the pedal pressure and another shhhh sound and stop. If all tests ok you can be reasonably confident the brake booster and vacuum lines are in order though it is still possible the vacuum supply is insufficient for sustained braking. A road test on a clear and safe downhill route will determine if this is so. Make a rapid series of brief brake applications at a constant speed of around 30mph and the braking effort and the feel of the pedal should remain consistent and if it does not it indicates restricted supply pipes or hoses, poor engine tune, incorrect idle speed (petrol models) or a worn or inefficient vacuum pump if it is a diesel.

2004 Jaguar s type dsc and parking brake along with engine system fault comes on and car goes into limp mode when slowing down or when it rains.

I had the same thing here, I paid lots of money to find out what is the problem, mechanics played with my poor car damaged everything they can to stop it from running, but when I found out that when I changed the battery on my own, with a turkish manufactured battery of 100 A big battery, not even the fault stopped appearing but all the car was boosted in performance, Dsc not available and Park Brake is all related to the level of electricity running the parts of car was screaming back to you, change my battery, all parts of Jaguar runs on electricity, main computer now runs faster, no delay on screen, and now Dsc not available once ignited doesn't appear anymore, remember that once car is reset by battery change, you need to apply brake and boot (step on brak and hold park brak lever up at the same time with pressing computer button on stearing whisk for like 10 sec until you see on screen AVE back again), and bypass radio lock by pressing on the three buttons, mem and the right combination with >>, and you're set

My Jaguar XE mirrors stop folding close with fob, but they close if I do manually and now the passenger door is not locking. What to do??? When I use the fob all doors close except the passenger side.

Folding mirrors normally have a setting to fold automatically or to fold only manually. https://www.google.com/search?q=jaguar+xe+folding+mirrors The passenger door not locking is likely a broken wire or a door module issue. For that, you need an auto electrician who has access to data sheets and also has a pro grade scan tool computer. The scan tool is bi-directional and can instruct things to happen electronically and verify that they did and if they didn't why? https://www.google.com/search?q=auto+electrician+near+me ..

If the inertia switch is activated, what does it affect on a 2003 Jaguar S-Type please?

It cuts power to the fuel pump when the car suffers crash damage. The inertia switch is located in the footwell behind the trim on the right-hand side of the vehicle, forward of the front door post, below the fascia. A finger access hole allows the driver to reset the switch.

Jaguar xf 2015 brake lights staying on!

You've definitely got some weird stuff happening here. All I can suggest is you get a good Auto Electrician to look at this. It could be anything from a simple short in the wiring, A faulty switch to something more serious in the vehicle's ECU. Have you had the vehicle scanned for trouble codes? This will help figure out if this is an electronics issue or an electrical one. If your paying for the scan ask at 4 or 5 places as prices can be Very different!
