2012 Land Rover Evoque Questions & Answers
Loss of coolant on 2012 Evoque SD4 2.2 engine
Did you test for leaks While the engine was running? Sometimes coolant will only leak when the system is under pressure and up to working temperature. Check the filler cap as these are often fitted with a pressure release valve. This could be sticking and the coolant is escaping as steam.
Check engin light is on
Ask around, most likely someone you know has OBD code reader for cars. It plugs in under the dash, and can read the code that turned the light on. Or buy a reader from your nearest auto parts.
Gearbox fault
try changing the transmission control module as it is the unit that reports incorrect ratios and other transmission faults.
Installing range rover evoque dog guard VPL VS0082
You have a job on your hands. Remove rear plastic boot protector then unscrew the chrome bolts into the floor. Next remove side panels and ensure you disconnect light on right and 12v socket on left. The side panel metal brackets are a breeze, but to fit the lower brackets one left and right and one central require you to unscrew the seat brackets into the chassis. I cant see how they can be got at nor can I remove the rear seat uprights to access them so, ive just bothered with the upper brackets. Doesnt move and took me half the time :)
2002 Land Rover Freelander eliminate and type theft.
You can't bypass anti theft systems especially on a high end vehicle like a Freelander. My mother worked at Land Rover in Solihull for 19 years and put miles on the Freelander, the 'Rover J Car) as a test vehicle. Anyway, I digress.
The Anti theft system is run by two computers (ECM and BCM), the anti theft module and lots of sensors. You have to fix the issue, not find a way around it. You need an auto electrician. A pro grade scan tool computer can interrogate all the electronics and the computer networks that join everything together.

I have a 2017 Land Rover Discovery Sport. It will not start it only clicks. The 7e8 code comes up. What can I do to fix it?
The 7e8 code is a general code for the Fuel Tank Pressure System and is not a specific diagnostic trouble code. Get the vehicle scanned with an OBD2 diagnostic scanner to check for Trouble Codes. These will give better clues as to what's causing this issue. Comment with the codes and I'll try to help you more.
If you have to pay for the scan ask at 4 or 5 different places as prices can be VERY different.
On the starting issue have you checked the Battery? A flat, low or old battery can cause starter motors to struggle. Sometimes it is as easy as that.
Is it a single click or a faster repeating click? Is it a loud or a quiet click? A single, quiet click could be the starter relay in the fuse box. A louder single click could be an issue with the starter solenoid or it's connection to the starter motor. A loud, fast, repeating click could be the starter motor itself.
