Why does oil light come on after i changed my oil in my kia Sorrento?

There is a chance that your oil pressure sensor has gone bad or is unplugged. My suggestion would be to install a mechanical gauge to verify oil pressure.

Hi, what does P0605 mean?

this answer courtesy of obd-codes.com code p0605 What does that mean? This trouble code basically means that the PCM/ECM (powertrain/engine control module) has detected an internal control module fault in the ROM (read only memory) in the PCM. The PCM is basically the vehicle's "electronic brain" that controls functions such as fuel injection, ignition, etc. When self-checks fail in the ROM, this DTC is set. This code is a generic powertrain code. It is considered generic because it applies to all makes and models of vehicles (1996-newer), although specific repair steps may be slightly different depending on the model. A cursory search on the 'net shows this DTC to be more commonly found in Ford and Nissan vehicles. Symptoms Symptoms of a P0605 DTC will include MIL (malfunction indicator lamp) illumination, although there may be other symptoms including but not limited to various warning lights on dash, stalling, and no start conditions. Potential Causes There is an internal fault in the PCM / ECM Using an aftermarket performance programmer may trigger this code Possible Solutions In some cases, "flashing" the PCM with an updated software can fix this DTC. You will need acess to make & model specific information such as Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs). If there are no PCM flash updates, the next step would be to check some wiring. Inspect and check for proper voltage and ground to the PCM and throughout the associated circuits. If there are problems with them, repair and retest. If the wiring checks out OK, the next step is to replace the PCM, which is the most likely repair for this code. This is generally not a "do-it-yourself" task, although in some cases it may be. We strongly recommend you have a qualified repair shop / technician do the work, one that has the capability to reprogram the new PCM. Installing the new PCM may involve using special tools to program the vehicle's VIN (vehicle identification number) and/or anti-theft information (PATS, etc.). As an alternative to replacing the PCM, some specialized shops may actually be able to repair the PCM. That may involve removing the PCM, shipping it off to them for repair, and re-installing it. That's not always an option for daily drivers. N Read more at: http://www.obd-codes.com/p0605 Copyright © OBD-Codes.com this answer courtesy of obd-codes.com

Im getting codes P0011 and P0014 on my 2011 kia serento. Is mean my camshaft sensor is bad? if so where is it?

These codes have to do with the CVVT(continuously variable valve timing)solenoid. I guess it is a 2.4 liter engine, the solenoid is located right above the power steering pump at the #1 cylinder in the cylinder head. If it is the 3.5 liter it is located on top of each cylinder and is accessed after the intake plenum is removed. Either way, the solenoid controls valve timing of the exhaust cam via the solenoid which uses oil pressure to advance or retard the timing. The first step is to verify proper weight of oil and level. If the engine is over due for service, get it done. If the oil is not an issue, then the solenoid is becoming sluggish in advancing or retarding the camshaft and should be replaced.

How do you remove a multi fuse, that runs the heater blower. on engine panel?

One type of these fuses simply pull out of the socket the other type bolts the fuse blades to the contact in the fuse panel. To determine which one you have just try to pull the fuse out without using excessive force.

Rear brakes on 2011 kia sorento

You will likely find there are two bolts holding the calipers on the 2011 Kia Sorento. You can check this by parking your Sorento, setting the parking brake to be sure it won't roll and carefully lifting and removing one of the rear wheels, just like you are removing a flat. When you remove the wheel, you should find that the brake caliper carrier is accessible on the rear top of the wheel assembly. Simply reach around and carefully feel the carrier assembly and you should feel a couple of bolt heads because two bolts are generally used to hold down Kia rear calipers.

I have a 2011 kia sorento, the drive side door will not open from the outside but will from the in side. took door panel off an they was to bolts weld holding on the window mounts

while you have the panel off, look for a link that connects the outside door catch to the lock, it might be in the bottom of the door as it has probably fallen off. If this is not the case then it is possibly the door handle itself. If you have had the door panel off it should be easy enough to locate the problem.
