This could be one of a few options.#1 could be as little as 1 quart to one half gallon low on coolant in radiator; #2 could be thermostat may be stuck in Open position all the time ( check temp gauge to see if engine is at Normal operating temperature ) #3 could also be stopped up Heater Core....Check this by simply touching heater hose going into heater core and heater hose exiting heater core, at any rate if the core isn't stopped up, Both hoses Should be warm or hot at regular operating temperature of engine warmed up.
Kia tends to have rather poor heater control switches and motors. If your car has manual dials, then check any cables and fixings on the back of the control panel. These cables can come loose and fail to push and pull the armature on the heater matrix valve. If the car has an electronic climate control, then check the electric motor on the heater matrix valve as it may have failed.
Engines can rock on the motor mounts. You probably have a vacuum line that is pinched, cracked, broken, kinked, or unhooked. check the engine compartment lines first. If you have thin plastic vacuum lines, they can kink more easily than rubber lines. If you have been working under the dash (replacing a radio, etc) check your work area in case you have a broken fitting on a vacuum housing or an unhooked line.
check your heater controls , there may be a cable lose or broken, or a vacume hose lose or broken,i don't know if that car has a heat control valve, but if it does you might check that as well. hope this helps!
yes, mine too. i called a friend at the dealer, he said "that's a kia." he said most of them do it, constant complaints about it. the heater cores aren't big enough in them. stupidest answer ever!!! i live in canada, we like to get into a warm car!
Yes you can take your fuse out, but you need your blower fan on when it rains.
Check the switch, it sound's like it has gone bad, then work your way to the Relay's. Not sure how many, if your Kia may have one and different resistors to control the different speed.
Hope this helps you for a quick fix for now, good luck
