Check your brake lights are working first as this can cause that problem, the brake switch could be defective causing the shifter to lock.
There is an override but only used in emergency to get you to garage or home.
Down the right side of shifter there is a cover or removable plug about the width of a finger so you can press the release button inside.
Safety systems getting too "safe".
This is a problem when people use the FOBs all the time. The key lock corrodes and won't turn. Spray some lube in it and work it back and forth. If and when it starts to move, use more lube. It has to be cleaned out. If it doesn't move, you'll have to replace it. DO NOT use so much pressure to turn it and it bends the key.
How old is your battery? You may need another one. If you're getting a racheting sound when trying to start the car, it could be an indication of a failed battery. You should do a continuity test of your electrical connectors. When doing this you need to understand that you will be starting at one specific point and following along the wire harness to the next connector and each one in between until you reach the mechanism that may be at fault. It could be that your fuel pump is failing but only a continuity test or a Vehicle scan could give you a more precise answer. Learn how to trouble-shoot your vehicle. The torque specification for the manifold to catalytic converter bolts on a 2007 Dodge Caliber RT with a 2.4L engine is 26 Nm (19 lb-ft). It's important to use a torque wrench to ensure the proper torque is applied to the bolts to avoid over-tightening or under-tightening, which could lead to problems with the exhaust system.
either the master clutch cylinder is bad or the slave cylinder is bad. The slave cylinder is difficult to bleed. You should use a mityvac to bleed system.. it will require 2 people and new fluid. never let master cylinder to get low on fluid.
The fuel filter is in the tank connected to the fuel pump most all new auto`s are doing that. Take it to a shop have them change it and by the way go ahead and change the fuel pump at the same time.
More information please. What exactly are you having issues with? Removing the actual flywheel isn't too difficult, it simply bolts to the end of the crankshaft. The hard work is actually getting to it.
You need to remove the transmission and bell housing as well as the clutch assembly to get to the bolts holding the flywheel to the crankshaft.
The transmission AND the actual flywheel are VERY heavy and I would not recommend doing this as a 'driveway' job.
*NOTE* - The mount holes on a flywheel and the crankshaft end are NOT evenly spaced. All six holes will only line up in one exact position. This is a marker setup to keep the system correctly balanced.
- Make sure the mount bolts are tightened to the correct torque setting! One loose bolt can cause a world of problems.
get a repair/service manual it will show tools-equipment needed as well as checking out if your capable of doing the removal https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXQgIu9IzTw this shows basic removal at a boneyard and the use of equipment there to remove it also not shown is the removal of all the components and sensors needed to get to bolts
