Which speed sensor? I encountered a Nissan with at least three. Speedo. Transmission. and Engine computer. Seems strange but the easiest way to look this up is the company that makes add on cruise controls. They are experts in speed sensors across many brands and models. http://www.rostra.com/

Well, the signal from the crankshaft position sensor, is supposed to keep the fuel pump running. It appears that you have the signal, otherwise the car would not run. You need to look at fuses and see if there are any fuses blown. Also, the anti-theft system may be causing it. Unlock the doors several times, with the remote, and see if that will help.
