buick regal . the door/trunk open warning is on and this leaves my interior lights also on. none of the doors or trunk are opened. My father in law now is also having the same issue..... any advise or

doors and trunk r closed but door/trunk ajar light is on The trunk latch is what holds the switch to turn off the light. Replace the latch.
