how do i get my cable to work on my lg tv? feed the cable into the HDMI input & then set your TV in its menu to that particular HDMI input.

could try changing the hdmi port you plug it into on the tv and see if that works, most tv's have more than one hdmi port. Make sure you select the right one in the tv menu when looking the video feed
