I have a jvc compact component system MX-C220 (old school, i know), and it wil shuffle through the different audio options without being prompted to do so. i don't have a remote and i keep having to run up and press "audio off". Any way to stop it from doing this! It really ruins the listening vibe!

Can or will u help find the right remote 4 a jvc compact component system # MX-J500

Contact jvc, a jvc service center or one of the many online remote control stores. A Google search would help too.

JVC MX-GT88 sound system showing protected them shut off why

Chances are that something is blown in the power output stages and units shuts down to protect against further damage.

Repair or replace, which ever is cheaper!

How to disable demo mode on JVC MX-c220

Make sure the unit is on. Press the FM Mode /Mute -Demo button (right next to the power) press it untill you get to either mono or auto (-for stereo). That will take the unit out of the demo mode. next turn the music jog dial (located just above the preset buttons) untill you get to which ever setting you choose. Hope that helps. ( I can't find the manual on line either- not even from JVC! )
