The Unit is not getting power. When plugged in to a dedicated 20 amp circuit the alarm rings 10 times then stops. The unit will not respond to the control pad or remote

it maybe interference picked up through an unsheided or poorly sheided cable or through single coil type pickups rather though the amp itself. You might also try get your power for the amps and this unit through different circuits.

Ideally you should run the line straight from the circuit breaker out to your hot tub, but if the line running from your circuit breaker to the box you're using now is 20amp. you can absolutely connected to that. to be up to code it cannot be an open box it needs to be closed After you wire in your 70ft connection. (that's assuming the box that you're using is dedicated already to your hot tub) then the only difference would be is your using extra line and costing you tenths of a penny extra and electricity per hour.

If the unit has a 30 amp/220volt plug, then you will need a dedicated 30 amp outlet from a 220 volt line from the panel. You can not switch the plug to work with a regular (15-20 amp) outlet. Have an electrician install a 10 gauge 220 line from the panel to the unit. good luck!

Minim 20 amp circuit ... is this 110 or 220? You need to know.

20 amp circuit needs to have #12 wire. If 110 Volts, you need a black, white and green #12. If 220 Volts you need a black, a red, and a green. If you have anything IN the unit that needs 110 (probably not), you need black, Red, White and Green (bare) #12 wire. Definitely needs to be on a dedicated circuit. If your unit has a resistance heater (electric) you will need a 30 amp circuit (probably 220) which needs #10 wire minimum. 220 volt breakers are double. You will need two spaces in your panel box. Would not hurt to put in heavier wire (#8) protected by a 30 amp breaker ... $ is the governing factor.

Having said all of that --- you should be reminded that I dont even know what country you are in nor your prevailing voltage nor what your national or local codes require. My comments based on installing several Goodman products over several years on the Eastern Seaboard.

You may be over loading the circuit. Try only running the AC then see if it runns longer turn everything else off on the circuit. most window AC need a 20 amp breaker. If you have had it on the circuit for a long time without any problem you may have been at the limit of the breaker and it is going bad. If you are overloading the line one way to tell if the unit runs long enough 30 min or more the cord on the unit will get warm or the faceplate of the plug in will get warm also look at the cords end where it plugs into the outlet is it melted or blackened ect obviouse signs of overheating. I always recomend a dedicated line for AC. Hope this helps good luck and be careful with the electricity.

the brand does not matter ,the process for instlling any window unit is the same only the sizes are different. And the power supply are different. Rule of thumb on power supply up to 12000 btu 120volt 20 amp dedicated electric circuit. over that requires 240volt circuit 30amp breaker dedicated line. As far as installation the window you chose to install the unit is MUST be within six feet of the electric outlet.Remove the casing from the main unit, I assume you have windows that you can raise up. put the leveling and side panel components on the casing, have someone help you. Place the casing in the window centered in the opening. lower the window until it is behind the top flange of the casing, screw the casing to the windo sill, lower the leveling screws until the unit is tilting toward the outside . insert the weatherstripping over the casing and lower the window as far as it will come down behind the casing flange. extend the side panels to the window casing and secure if necessary. Insert the main unit in the casing and push it all of the way in. make sure there is not any air leaks around casing or side panels. if you have done the electrical work or have had someone do the electrical work then plug the unit in, turn on the circuit breaker that is dedicated for that unit. read your startup directions and you are ready to go.
