Vinotemp VT-60 Condenser won't shut off, unit running way too cold

My Vinotemp VT-60 was working just fine last week until it started running very cold (got down to 24 degrees!). The condenser won't shut off. Seems like a thermostat problem. This happened right when I got it, but unplugging it for a few hours fixed it. This time that didn't work. Any ideas?

It might be a sensor or control board problem. Any appliance repair place should be able to help you out with this. Or you can try contacting the manufacturer directly for help or if you need to purchase replacement parts. Otherwise, my cheapest suggestion would be to hook the cooler up to a timer, so you can turn the unit on and off maybe every 20 minutes or so. That should help keep it from causing more harm and then you can monitor the temperature with a thermometer. Hope that helps!

Viking vuwc141 wine cooler not cold anymore.

dead, and PC power good to it.
and not ICING up as the manual warns and why.
on mine the carp's mounted it in front of web bar,and no air can get to it (called a bad INSTALLER) all Refers must have fresh are to the condenser core
and so it can not cool so I slid it back 1 inch and see a gap now, top and air now flows, to back side easy (amazing easy fix)

2005 model and still works today, just 30seconds work.
also same cause for the compressor overheat sensor to trip,
same cause same cure.
cause 2, condenser fan dead or only packed up in lint.

Vinotemp (VT-60), cools, but doesn't turn off regardless of the temp setting. It will run, cut off for aprox 5 seconds, then continue running. Is thermostat broken? Can it be repaired?

It will either be the thermal resistor or the controller of which the electronic thermostat is a part and yes it can be repaired. It is a reasonably common and cheap fault to repair. If you go to the following link you can get the service manual FOC

http://www.vinotemp.com/Resources/Documents/VT60.pdf

and you can contact a repair company via Vinotemp at the following link

This VinoTemp vt 60 just quit working. No

if the evaporator coils are warm, you have a leak and no refrigerant.

Vinotemp 2 zone wine cooler flashes "Lo" on numeric display for lower compartment - will not hold temperature requested. Temp in upper compartment will not go below 67 even though it is set for 51. Room...

Not sure, but did you clean the filter in the back? Ours has that, and the temp starts creeping up every few weeks until I clean it. But we've never been able to get it below 58 or so, and in the last year, not below 60. I think that's just the nature of this type of cooling. Our house is also at 80. But, can keep it at 60 with the above cleaning.
