I have the same compressor with the same problem. I have temporarily eliminated the thermal reset with a piece of 12 gauge hard wire and it runs just fine. However it's not adviseable to run without the thermal reset for an extended time. I tested the draw at 15.5 amps and the reset was a 17 amp. I am told by someone with superior electrical background, that I need to install a 20 amp thermal reset in it's place. I have found that mine runs best when plugged directly into a 20 amp circuit with no extention cord. But, when using an extention cord, I have a 10 guage cord that will carry the load needed to run the EC12. I also have changed to 100% synthetic oil.

Stopped working. clicking sound when it wants to start up. Is it the compressor or the relay switch model 8 yrs old old.

You.have to check if the compresor is working or damage. Try starting direct the compresor, Generali should be the electric part outside the compresor just change at the electric parts and should work. If you send a picture of the position on the connectors I will help you to try the compressor

A/C unit no longer cooling. Showing pressure at 100 psi.

did you use a manifold gauge, HI and LO side, if your compresor is not engaging probably due to a low charge, because your gages must read about 15F below ambient temperature that translate to on a 80f day uyour gage must read about 95psi on hi and lo (no compresor running)with compressor runing your lo side must be around 35psi and your hi side around 200+ psi depending on amount of air cooling your conderser, also note charging amout tag to not overcharge system, on other hand your problem may be a electricall, check your fuses and MG/C cluth relay by pass it to confirm your compresor is in good working condition.

Cdewalt d55133 compressor. compresor fill air tank but when engine try to start again humms and the breaker come on and wont start

It sounds like the valve that releases the pressure out of the pipe that runs between the compressor and tank is not working once the tank is full and the motor automatically cuts off. This valve is attached to the Pressure control switch that switches the motor On & Off and usually has a small pipe going to it. You know the valve is working by the sound of a short spurt if air being released when the motor cuts off. If the valve is not releasing this air the compressor is trying to start under full load which the motor is not capable of doing, hence the humming and popping of breakers due to a current overload as the motor tries to start.

I HAVE A PIECE OF EQUIPMENT THAT RUNS AT 75 PSI. I NEED TO BUY A COMPRESSOR THAT WILL HAVE A DUTY CYCLE OF 50%. HOW CAN I SELECT WHAT SIZE COMPRESSOR I NEED?

That is an extremely high pressure. I would firstly check to make sure that THAT is what you need, then MOST compressors have a regulator where you can adjust the pressure required.
It is not so much the pressure you need as the STORAGE of air that you need for a pressure that high. MOST tanks are around the 20 or so litre. To utilise a tool requiring the pressure of 75PSI I suspect you would need a tank of somewhere around the 2-300 litre size or maybe even bigger. But first just make sure that you DO need the 75PSI you mentioned.

Compressor low pressure triped

If the compresor, overheats, then compresor it's not good, make sure that there is a safety cycle on. Explain: there should a click when compresor starts if you hear a click again within 30 secs. is a confirmation that the compresor has weak coils, and needs to be replace. If this is not the case, make sure you are not using an extention cord to run this unit, maybe wire are overheating.

Freezer or fridge stopped cooling. Can not hear compressor kick on

If the compresor is trying to start and it won't you 'll heard a click and the compresor will be very hot ,that means that the relay is bad or the compresor is stuck or burned and needs to be replaced, but first before replacing the compresor try with the relay (no more than $20).But if the lights and fan inside the fridge work and the compresor won't start and is not hot ,the problem is in the cold con trol (you can put a jumper wire between the two wires to the cold control and if the compresor starts thats your problem) after all this if still the compresor won't start could be that the timer is stock in the defrost position.

Fridge freezer not working/power ok,

If the compresor is very hot and won't start, the clicking you heard is the overload at the compresor that goes on & off beacause the relay ,that makes the compresor start is bad or the compresor is bad ,if you know how check the compresors coil if not try replacing the relay with a same replacement(no more than $20 or $30) if still won't start the compresor needs to be replaced.

Refrigerator continuously cycles

This is a generic problem with Whirpool refrigerators. The start relay for the compresor(located on the side of the compresor under the black plastic cover) is probably bad ,replace it(about $ 20) with a new one(write down where the wires go) that should solve the problem if not the compresor is bad.

Turns on...clicks every few minutes....never gets cold

It looks like the compresor is trying to start and goes off on overload ,it could be a bad relay or a bad compresor.Try first replacing the relay located on the side of the compresor under a black plastic cover(ALWAYS UNPLUGGED THE FRIDGE BEFORE DO ANY WORK) if that does not work you need to replace the compresor.
