I bought this portable air conditioner from soneon who moved and no manuals. Could you tell me what the 3 dials are on the front? One has numbers from 1 to 8 (left one), the middle one has 3 yellow sort of stars (fans) and 3 blue type of flowers and the one on the right has bars from thin to fat ones??? I would really like for it to work properly. Now, it starts and the compressor works for a short while and then it reverts to the fan alone?????? What should I do with the dials? Thanks!

It may not have one if they only made one batch of them. If it does have one it will be on that sticker. Is it near the mains lead? The other possibility is that there is another sticker inside with serial number and inspector stamp.

The blue snowflake is for the AC. The 3 fan icons are for low, medium, and high settings. The icon with the cup with over flowing water means empty the water tank. The cup next to the snow flake is the dehumidifier. The cup next to that means tank is empty and the clock is the timer. If the front part is only blowing out hot or warm air I say you got a broken one unfortunately. The back part blows out hot air which is why there is an exhost hose attachment.

Could be a number of things, Is the compressor running? If so, are the filters clean? ( Both the outlet and the inlet filters.) One at the front where the air comes out and one at the back where the air goes in.

Don't you just hate electronics? The control might be sensing a bad thermostat. Especially considering that the manual says that the max temp is 86 (not 88).

dials with numbers is the timer, hose goes outside

Mine has a model number of PCA061D.
If you remove the water capture reservoir, there is a sticker that has the model number.

Portable units are supposed to spray the water on to the hot compressor an evaporate the water!
If it is only 3 weeks old ,you have a 1 year warranty. call service and let them fix it for !
