Hi dlk3cs...
Try this for error 1437:
SOURCE: can not sync my ipod
Hi smdente...
Anyone having problems with the error "1437" I have been searching the internet high and low and have done so much and I believe I have finally found a way to fix it. "1437" is the error where your ipod just wont register as an ipod and when it finally does it will begin to restore but corrupt halfway through saying error 1437.
First of all I got this code which you save in Notebook as appleipod.bat
regsvr32 /s softpub.dll
regsvr32 /s wintrust.dll
regsvr32 /s dssenh.dll
regsvr32 /s rsaenh.dll
regsvr32 /s gpkcsp.dll
regsvr32 /s sccbase.dll
regsvr32 /s slbcsp.dll
regsvr32 /s mssip32.dll
regsvr32 /s cryptdlg.dll
regsvr32 /s initpki.dll
You save as that to your desktop exit out of it then double click on it. A black screen will come up, load, then disappears.
Reset your unplugged ipod by pressing the center and menu button, once the apple logo appears press the center and play/pause button until it does into disk mode. Once in disk mode plug it into your computer and wait for itunes to register it and restore! KABOOM! fixed.. well, at least for now. I dont know if this was just by chance but this last step with the resetting your ipod didnt work the first time for me so I continued my google quest and on another website there was one more step. To have you ipod off and fiddle with the "hold" button the the top left of the ipod while off and then start the steps. It could have just been by chance but it worked so do try.

This symptom may be caused by an issue with the digital signing ofWindows XP drivers. Following the steps below to reregister several.dll files mentioned below may resolve this issue. Before proceedinghowever, try to restore the iPod using the latest version of iTunes.. If you are unable to restore it or the symptom reappears, then follow the steps below:
Note: Because some malwaremay unregister the .dll files, make sure you have the most recentupdates to your anti-virus software and then do a full scan of yourfiles.

regsvr32 /s rsaenh.dll
regsvr32 /s gpkcsp.dll
regsvr32 /s sccbase.dll
